It is hard to believe that it is December 2023! The year has flown by! With Christmas and the New Year a few weeks away, we want to pause and reflect on the Lord’s blessings over the past year of ministry. Whether you have served in ministry, supported NBCC financially, or have prayerfully lifted up this ministry, we want to thank you for your love and support! God continues to grow His church, fund missions around the globe, and grow a healthy church environment at NBCC.
God Has Grown His Church
The Lord continues to faithfully grow NBCC. Over the past year we have witnessed a 15% increase in attendance over 2022. This is remarkable because in 2022 we had a 15% increase over 2021! We have added 10 new families to our membership who are eager to serve, give, and grow! NBCC baptized 8 followers of Jesus in 2023, and the Lord continues to bring new folks to our church each week who are eager to experience life with us! Finally, the Lord is breathing life into Kid’s Ministry with the addition of another class option, which has allowed for growth among young families!
God Is Funding His Mission
NBCC is committed to the advancement of the Kingdom of God around the globe. As a church convinced of Jesus’s command to “go therefore and make disciples of all nations,” we give sacrificially from our weekly offering to missions. Twelve percent of our offering goes to fund outreach, local mercy ministry, and fund evangelism. This year alone we have given $47,531.31 to further the Kingdom!!
God Is Growing A Healthy Church
Growth and financial health mean relatively little if not matched by spiritual growth. We can measure and celebrate attendance, the addition of members, and financial wins, but the greatest question we face: Is our church growing spiritually? Yes! We continue to see the church equipped to serve one another. As we sit with members who have fallen ill, the number of stories of phone calls, meals, and encouragement shows that our church truly cares and prays for one another. Nearly 66% of our regular attenders and members are involved in another discipleship opportunity such as Sunday School, Wednesday discipleship, or a Community Group. We hope to see this grow in 2024! Our church has grown in fellowship opportunities such as men’s and women’s lake day, men’s breakfast, widow’s luncheon, One Gathering Picnic, family night, Abundance Sunday, and more! The church is being the church, and we are grateful and excited to see what the Lord will do in 2024!
